Indeed Andy

As for kingfluff, whilst correct about pure numbers don't forget it is the chairman that calls committee meetings and can ensure that there is a quorum!

Simon
I just stick flyers on Discos, no problem far as I can see, often the discos are in car parks etc where you're never going to get a chance to talk to anyone. Print away. :thumbright:

The issue with littering is only for flyers that are indiscriminate I.e. put onto all cars.

These flyers are specifically targeted for disco 3 and 4's so the littering tag doesn't apply.

We have loads of full club members joined who have never met any of us before joining and they've all turned out ok so far.

Why would I have read the constitution - I'm not a member but even those who know the constitution sometimes get it wrong - like for example saying that non-members can't attend the agm (although my understanding is that non members can attend but can't vote) causing people to cancel plans to attend!

That was cleared up before the AGM I believe. Non members can't attend, associate members can but can't vote.

:offtopic:

Just to clarify the situation with the AGM and non members attending. The constitution states:
No one can take part in General Meetings unless they have been duly elected as a Member of the Club and have paid their subscription according to these Rules, except in the case of Honorary Members or persons outside the Membership who have been appointed by the Committee to act on the Clubs behalf.
The provision for people outside of the club to attend when they have been appointed by the committee is to allow for cases such as auditors presenting a report on the state of the accounts.

There is however the following addition in appendix 1
Any Club Associate may be invited by the Committee to actively participate at specific General Meetings only as part of additional duties or advice sequestered by the Committee of the Club.
This would therefore allow non members to participate in an AGM if invited to by the committee, for example this might cover someone looking after the website who is not a club member.

Hopefully that clarifies the situation
