Split Charge
After chatting to Stu and Andy, I'm looking at getting a split charge system and wanted people's veiws or ideas as the best second battery option and split charge electrics,
Wants to be as simple as possible, and able to power my Light bar and the Rear aux sockets etc.
Then I can get Andy, Stu and Richard to fit it all and finally wire up my light bar

Re: Split Charge
This has done me proud and let me catch two alternator fails before the battery failed.

I also picked a tayna own brand calcium battery as I found the optima yellow top caused more issues than it solved.

Re: Split Charge
I have the T-Max in mine and that (I think!) has saved my main battery as I noticed the lack of charging before it went totally flat.
The battery I have in in my Sig.

Re: Split Charge
I would say I am utilise mone the least out of any dual battery setup bet still sains. It. Incredible useful.
Particularly when on long journeys or staying Way from the weekend I can charge devices with the knowledge that the primary battery will remain safe.
Deffo worth the investment if you stay away at regular intervals sand have a requirement for charging mobile devices

Re: Split Charge
For your application, I think a voltage sensitive relay is fine, cheap and reliable.
Don't forget to get a battery clamp for the second battery.
