Events Manager Wanted

Post by Stu » Fri Aug 15, 2014 12:21 pm

Hi Everyone,

As a club we are keen to get some more events on the go, as such we are looking for a couple of people (probably one in the North and one in the South) who would be willing to manage events. This doesn't mean that you have to arrange all the events, but ideally you might arrange one or two, but also to help others with events i.e. help them find out info on green lane statuses or offer advice on what the MSA rules are etc. The committee can also offer help and advice to you regarding these so you're not on your own. The aim will be to promote events and activities for club members and to work with the committee to create some amazing events for all.

Events are likely to include:

Off road events
Land Rover Shows
Other events and shows that have synergy with us (Overlanding sow for example)
Social events
Activities
Family events

Anyone fancy it?

Drop me a PM if you don't want to post publicly

Don't mind helping but I'm in the middle, so probably don't qualify

So based on Dom's suggestion how about we have a small team that all pitches in for event stuff. Clare and I would be happy to help and if anyone else locally (I'm looking at you Ben and Mark) want to pitch in a little then that'd be good plus it's a good excuse for a curry occasionally!

All in favour of that, I would request that Dom (or someone else) acts as the liaison with the committee.

As well as that it might help expedite things if there was an area of the forum that was only open to events team and committee

Willing to lend a hand if needed and present connections don't exclude me.

Well this is all sounding good. I'm very happy to create an area on the forum for the events team to discuss things and it's probably a good way of the committee being involved as well.
