Re: Let's talk LED light bars

I'm still looking for the 'right' unit and have been looking for something with a slim profile. Preferably just a single row. At present, state of the art looks like the Cree 10w chips. Haven't found a neat design at sensible price that is realistically available in the UK...

Maglite refresh

I've had a big Maglite 4D torch for a good many years. I think I got it on an offer when I bought it. It was a good torch in its day (pre LED) and of course, extremely well made with useful secondary 'heft'. Anyway, its sat in the kitchen unused since the bulb blew and I acquired an LEDLenser M7 a w...

Gents

Bodsy, dropped you a pm. Jason, 64 may be a bit more than needed here but see how we go. (Plus, Having looked at 4g rollout, coverage looks iffy for the price unless you are permanently in a city. I'm waiting a bit for 4g!)

Wanted: iPhone 4 / 4s unlocked

There has been a bit of traffic recently on iPhones so I thought I'd try...

Looking for a s/h iPhone iPhone 4 / 4s in good condition to replace a now defunct 3G. If you have one available, please let me know.

Thanks

Re: Decking

Stu Just as an alternative thought on the decking material, we used this stuff a few years ago (5+) http://ecodek.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It's a composite material using recycled wood. I went this way for a couple of reasons. First, the deck is in a sheltered corner of ...

Re: Gazebo...I mean event shelter..

Agree on the ME bags. We use these (med and large) for all travelling these days. Pack really well in the back of the Disco and just as good for air travel. Equal of North Face bags although a few less hauling loops. But if you are not rope hauling bags up Half Dome or the Eiger, you may not be too ...

Re: Installing mains gas into a property!

You need to contact Centrica/BG. Im pretty sure they are are the only people wh can put this in for you. They will tap into the main in the road and lay a pile in etc up to a gas meter box in your property. You may need to dig a trench across your property to the correct depth. Not to put you off, b...

Re: Goldfish gone again

Well, I for one am with the heron! They are among our most spectacular birds and always fascinating to watch. Unfortunately, putting goldfish in a your typical shallow garden pond is just making it too easy. Hardier an easier target for them. Shiny fish is as good as painting target on their back. D...

Re: Competition Off-Road Tyres

To resurrect a very old thread ;) ... Am I right with the following? 2. Nobody supplies 18" steel wheels that fit a D3 properly Are there other options? 18" alloys with MTRs??? Would that work? Compomotive PD1880 (alloy) made to fit D4 so very good chance it goes on the D3 V8. Number of people over...
