Some years ago, someone who'd done some jobs on my D1 with me was made redundant. In between jobs he set up a small business making sound proofing rugged waterproof mats for D1s and Defenders. These mats fitted perfectly and were a good 2" thick and he sold loads of them all over the world on EBay....

If its not a genuine one then you should see a small bolt (about a 10mm i think) this screws into a hole which points straight out the back to operate the latch that is securing it.

It only went to Fife, still quite local.

First things on my list I think are,

RLD wheel protector and possibly sump guard
Tints possibly
Need a tow bar as well, fixed, for cycle carrier

I didn't, £6700 with 103k on the clock against a new D4XS, but did get a very good price on the new.

Remember it's about the change over cost not the price for one or the other.
