Events - Training - Recovery / Winching

Post by Non Stick Nick » Tue Jul 25, 2017 12:37 pm

G'day mates! Howz it goin? Crickey No worries!

Sorry, just practicing for our next trip away later in the year!!

So, there was talk in committee about another Training day/weekend at the Andover site we used before.

My question is WHEN & What do you want training in?

Is September too soon or should we wait till the new year, say february / march/

This will not be a driving training day but rather a recovery, winching, high lift jacking type of day.

Over to you....

Regards
Non Stick.

Id be interested in that. New year would probably be better for me though as it's a bit far to do as a day trip for me, so would probably try to combine it with a weekend away

I have spoken to David from Pro Driver Training today & also been in contact with Mike Chambers . It seems the site at Tangley is no longer in use, however there are other sites available.

A new site in Upavon will come on stream later this year along with current sites in Lincolnshire, Wrexham, Stourport, & Milton Keynes.

I will let you all know hen I have more.

Regards
Nick

I would be interested in winching and recovery training.
As Kingmav says, making a weekend of it for a social would be great.

Sept may not be the best choice as there's the LRO show @ Peterborough that some may be going to

So, I have news!.

Pour previous go to chap , David Heaton @ Off Road Motivations has now finished.

I have been looking & thanks to a contact from Mr Treasurer, I now have some info, or rather questions.

1. What wold you like to learn about, basic winching, more advanced winching, general recovery techniques - ropes - jacks etc, or something else?
&
2. week day or weekend & what time of the year.

The courses are £300 and that is for between 2 & 4 people with 1 instructor.
If we get 6 people the course would be 6 then a second instructor would be needed so £600.

The course would be with 4x4adventures.co.uk - James Trembath & on the East Foldhay site @ David Bowyers Goodwinch place in Devon.

Your Comments please.

Hi Simon - Alfamale - Mr King,

I have changed the entry on here, do you want me to change it on the Book of Face?
