Yeah, that's a standard router which has a USB port for a 3G dongle. The aerials are for the WiFi so you end up with no benefit over using a phone as a hotspot.
The ideal would be a router which has external GSM aerials as well as WiFi aerials so you could improve cellular reception by using remote mounted aerials. What none of them give (except the motorhome kit) is the ability to connect the router to site WiFi and use that as the WAN connection.
Would be nice to find something which could do cellular AND site WiFi without having to have 2 devices.

Re: GSM Boosters
Just ordered one of these. I guess I'll just need to look at the aerials now. Also need to find a PAYG sim that will give me what I need.

Re: GSM Boosters
The tri-band boosters are the best solution when it comes to enhancing the signal quality of any service provider. It doesn't matter which service provider you use, but what matters is what frequency they broadcast to offer you the service. Tri-band signal boosters are designed to work on almost all frequencies and hence they cover all the service providers. They are capable enough to cover areas upto 5000 sqm. Here is what I am using for myself https://www.mobilebooster.co.uk/product ... x-triband/
It covers all service providers.
It covers all service providers.
