You picked up a Harley or a Goldwing...?
I reckon you're more Goldwing than Harley... lol.

Re: Wanted to borrow
No mate, neither. Both are utter sh.ite I really never understood the Harley thing, a shed load of cash for a noisy feck that vibrates itself to bits at 80, oh and a shed load more cash for all the obligatory bolt on tat. Nastier than a Lada. The Honda I have no words for. All the downsides of a car in terms of weight and size but also all the downsides of no weather protection or heater. Pointless. Might as well try and ride a cruise missile.
I actually bought a CBF125 for SWMBO as she is learning to ride but I have to pick it up from Cumbria. Given the amount of them around I thought it would be a lot easier to find a decent one but so many of them have been thrown up the road or had a load of modifications, or have more miles than the Starship Enterprise there aren't that many decent ones secondhand. I managed to find a 2014 with under 2000 miles which is totally standard and has never been dropped.
As for my own ride.....Matchless G12. 650 twin (Norton engine as fitted to the Dominator) 1959, gear lever on the correct side (right), kickstart only and a joy to ride out on. For a bit of faster fun there is the Yamaha XJR1300 or the Kawasaki Z1. Also looking at a Yamaha XT500, single cylinder on a kickstart. Very civilised, I just wish the Japs would figure out that the gear lever belongs on the right. Nothing superbike-ish though, I just can't stand that "Monkey shagging a football" riding position.
The one I miss most and wish I had never sold is the Cotton 175. That was a lovely machine. And if I ever win the lottery it will be a Brough Superior.
