How can you be sure it is the original chassis, could it not have had a replacement and that be numbered correctly. If it was on a farm surely it wouldn't have lasted ?.

If that is the case, without the engine and a home made truck cab etc, surely all you are buying is the reg number and paperwork. It would be a bit like triggers broom

Hmm, so it was the first diesel 88 inch. Big deal. If it was genuinely the fist LR ever produced perhaps the price might be understandable.

Yes, an interesting vehicle if it all checked out OK and maybe the Dunsfold might like it. But not that price, in that condition, especially since the original engine is missing. Matching numbers are a very big deal in those circles. FFS, they count rivets so a whole engine number is going to cause heart attacks.

I think he's probably pricing it in Zimbabwe dollars - which would convert to around £366 - although still wayyyyyy to much for that bag of Turkish Delight......
