Traction tracks
Traction tracks
Wife spotted these in our local Argos... Probably useless but I'm tempted to get some to try for that price.
Opinions??

Re: Traction tracks
for once I find myself agreeing with Neil...
Even if they are used once and crack, at 15 quid it sounds like a cheap (and compact ?) solution for snow conditions ?

Re: Traction tracks
I would just throw the rubber floor mats under the wheels and save 15 quid.
I don't think they'd survive being rolled over by a D3 and although they're cheap enough to be worth buying for a "one-off", the floor mats will do just as good a job

Re: Traction tracks
Interesting; as has been said, if these get you moving just once they've paid for themselves.
Agro's part number has changed though; found it here :

Re: Traction tracks
Look like the same thing.
Not sure if in the real world they'd cope with the weight of a discovery on them... Tempted to make a set for proper use.

Re: Traction tracks
Sorry for dragging this off-topic, but am I the only one to have used the rubber floor mats (several times) to "unstuck" the D3?
I've used them quite a few times and it's worked a treat. They're also a lot easy to throw on top of the roofrack when dirty unlike my sand ladders
