Just renewed mine which expires on 1st May and got 30% discount for doing it online and as an existing RAC UK member. £116.27 for an 05 D3 for Zone 1 Europe non towing including the extra premium for a vehicle over 6 years old.
I'm told the prices change on 1st April so if you're contemplating taking out annual cover for trips commencing later this year best to do it this weekend but with a later start date.
I travel across the Channel about 12 times a year so worth the money for peace of mind

Re: RAC. Annual European Breakdown Cover
Just checked what I paid for this cover last year and I've paid about £20 less than I did last year despite the car being a year older!
Not a lot of logic in that but not complaining

Re: RAC. Annual European Breakdown Cover
ISTR I paid a similar price for the D3 with Green Flag for D3 full monty UK + 90 days European cover. I can't remember why I went for Green Flag over AA or RAC (pos better cover numbers & more countries) but have used them once in the UK and service was spot on.
If only I could think of something useful to type here!!

Re: RAC. Annual European Breakdown Cover
Haven't looked at Green Flag's offerings for a while as I buy my RAC UK full monty with Tesco vouchers.
Had cover with Green Flag many moons ago when I had a diesel Ford Sierra or something similar. Was en route to Dover Port and the car cut out at a roundabout and wouldn't start.
The guy that came out diagnosed a stuck starter motor and proceeded to free it with a hammer. He gave up and I got towed to a Ford dealer. Turned out to be the cambelt had gone!
Haven't seriously looked at Green Flag cover since!

I any go near RAC as they refuse to recover you if you have been off road. AA will recovery you. Don't know about green flag policy on that.
As featured in LRO and BBC Radio 2!

I think GF is similar but considering how little mine goes offroad I'm not too concerned.
