Re: Lightforce 170 Striker HID's
Had some of the LF170's, which were good, but outdone on anything other than distance pencil beam mode as the Xenons are soo fricking good.
HOWEVER, if I had the cash, then yes the HID versions are just sooo much brighter and yoiu'd do well to beat them. They come out at only 35w each too so not too draining on the battery
Will look a) and b)
Will certainly light up your path!

Re: Lightforce 170 Striker HID's
I'm saving the pennies (okay...euro cents...) to convert my 6 LF170's to HID. However, as Bodsy says, the 170's with pencil beam do make a difference when coupled with the xenons. Hence why I haven't seen a need to convert to HID immediately.
There is an independant Australian company that provides LF HID conversion. Cheaper than the LF original but apparently not a cheap copy. May also be able to get 50w from this company.
I'm travelling at the moment and can't access the info they sent me. I think the company is called Predator something or other...

Rich - are these not cheap Chinese copies...? From memory, there are some available on ebay that look very similar and might even be a bit cheaper. But i decided not to risk it so went the (albeit more expensive) route of LF's...

Re: Lightforce 170 Striker HID's
Think they are, but not nessesarily bad.. We need a sucker, sorry, member to try them first! (Neil, think you should buy a couple for me to try and I'll let you know if GNVP should stock them.. ). They look quite good in the
pic but that does not mean much. It obviously is a working full HID light though so shows what a rip off the Hella and other HID's are!

Re: Lightforce 170 Striker HID's
Just experimenting, wanted to see the quality! Looking at the prospeed rack so would need some new lights as I cut the cowlings and extrusion on my Expo rack to fit the Hella HID's tightly so cannot easily take them off without making the rack worthless.... As they say, AAArse!
