You bought the wrong ones...

They are for LHD vehicles...I might as well take them off your hands seeing as they won't work on a RHD vehicle in the UK...

ok...you never know till you try...

Serious question time...

How are you thinking of moutning them on the rack, especially the ballasts ?

I'm thinking of ordering the HID upgrade kit. I have 2 170's on the front (so ballast can go behind the radiator and 4 170's on the roof rack (which I mount/dismount as and when needed). But it isn't the expo rack and is completely open. So I'm struggling to see how I can mount the ballasts without them getting fubar'd during the first spot of rain...

ISTR the Ballast units are completely waterproof, so perhaps just a small peice of ally over the top of them would suffice to protect them.

yep, need to work how I'm going to mount them on my roof rack too ... probably via some brackets hanging off the front of the rack with the ballasts probably fitted under my roof rack slats that run front to back to protect them from direct rainfall :thumbright:

roughly 170 pounds for non-HID....and roughly 500 pounds for HID...(thats for a pair, not single you'll be pleased to hear...)

I got 6 LF170's for about 500 all-in (small discount on 4; second hand for 2). And have found a retailer in the US that supplies the HID upgrade kits at over half the price than in the UK (463 pounds versus 1,030 pounds...). Just waiting to hear on shipping costs...
