Now you've gone and done it...just as I was becoming content with a DIY black pack and black mirror caps, you go and add the whole replacement wing mirror with integrated repeaters. And not just one of them either
And I expect bodsy will need to enable them too!!!!!
Come a little closer to the screen a minute Clive.........little bit closer.......that's it........

Re: What have you done to your D3 this week?
Got my Park brake scream of death back :'( But I think it's the first time since Keilder so around 7 years so can't complain really!
Had auto-park turned on on the config, but couldn't override it when turning off for some reason so it kept screaming. Eventually pulled the main EPB fuse to shut it up!
Bod's Bible being dusted off at the weekend ...

If auto enable is enabled, you have to press the button twice from memory

One press, two press, foot on brake, foot off brake, three press, entire stairway to heaven tapped out. It said no!
Hot on the heels of the transmission fault last week where one of my guesses was something delaminating, I'm wondering what I may find!

Re: What have you done to your D3 this week?
All tuned back into spec, EPB now working nicely again.
I was struggling to identify the components for some time until I realised they were all baked in mud; things got faster once I got the airline blower nozzle out.
A couple of oddities. OK, one oddity and one stupidity.
Oddity first. Both of the 4mm hex bolts (that loosen off the 'other' end of the brake shoes) were loose. Totally loose. Both sides. That seems really bizzare! No overheating encountered (tyrepal monitoring shows all tyres within ~2C at all times). They tightened up again just fine and seem to have enough torque to stay done up.
I'm trying and failing to get this to account for the momentary seizure of my transmission a couple of weeks ago though, so that's still on the mystery list
And onto the stupidity. I started on the nearside/left wheel. I blasted the half kilo of mud and rust flakes out first with an air hose, then started to tighten the adjuster. 12 teeth, no, still no click from the torque wrench,16 teeth, getting tighter rotating the wheel but no, 21 teeth...now I'm breaking into a sweat turning this and was thinking the adjuster didn't have much left in it, when it suddenly dawns on me that 60NM should have come a lot of teeth earlier and I'm straining like it's nearer a 200Nm suspension bolt to turn the wheel.
Yep, muppet here had bought a new torque wrench that only clicks when turning clockwise...learn from my fail. Second wheel was 25 minutes all in.
P.S. Writing all that out made it sound very familiar; why do I feel that I've been that stupid before on the same job?
