If people are worried about their kids, they better keep them off Facebook, twitter, YouTube and keep them out of the school playground.

Best remove the :censored: smiley and any that represent violence if we're that worried about the children. After all, it implies foul language and violence to make a point.

What about the "what are we drinking tonight" thread? A good example to children? Or the aftermath of the Pyrenees Captain Morgan night pictures? We're all laughing at how drunk Steve got, but its not really that clever, is it?

It shouldn't be "anything goes" on here but I don't think the odd pi55 instead of :censored: is going to send any kids on the rampage.
Completely agree with James, this is a non issue. Family safe and friendly, but my wife and her mates swear like troopers at times.... So, meh.

So many threads should get deleted.

Don't waste your time.

I suppose it depends on what defines swearing.. Nobody has tried to get around the c or f words, and rightly so, just the odd pi55, ar$e, bo110cks etc which I see no harm in. If people are really offended by these every words then they should take their D3's and :censored: off to Mumsnet!
Imagine if I said Stu is a right :censored: , meaning he was a right c0ck in jest... could be taken totally the wrong way! :D

I think you'll find that Mumsnet is far, far worse than we could ever be on here

Just goggle "mumsnet" and "beaker". And don't say I didn't warn you.......

As for DG, I agree, they overmoderate and interfere over there. A mod should presumably be like a good waiter and barely be noticed, rather than trying to wind up the punters.

I don't think some of the words mentioned are really swearing. But there have been posts with the other words changed to get around filter.

The argument I don't get is that it happens elsewhere so it's OK then.
