Multimedia pack camera install

Post by pikeykev » Sat Feb 17, 2018 4:47 pm

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been covered. I've searched for so long i'm cross eyed. I am trying to install a rear camera to my D3 which has the multimedia pack fitted. I am assuming there is a GVIF hidden somewhere in the car. Does anybody know where? Anybody attempted a rear camera install on a multimedia pack? I have the seat back screens and the DVD in the boot. Any help appreciated

If it has the factory screeens, doesn’t mean it has gvif I’m afraid.

No reverse camera option was offered on D3 by LR.

Hi Bodsy,

Thanks for coming back to me.

So are you saying it can't be done with the multimedia pack? I know where the DVD is, and the screens receive TV signals from somewhere. I assume there is an interface box somewhere in the system? I'm guessing with no spare inputs is what you will be telling me next? So are there any options other than a separate screen?

Has anyone got a wiring diagram of the multimedia pack set up?

Cheers :headbang:

Yes you can do it on the Nav screen, just not using LR bits.

You need a GVIF module.
