Rear window electrics?

Post by hangman3 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 11:54 am

Hi,
Does anyone know if there are wires for the windows under the rear or boot seats? My rear windows most of the time don't work. I have realised that the times they do work usually coincides with when I have had the boot seats up for use & then they fail again when they are back down. If someone can enlighten me on anything to do with this problem as I don't really want to be take the seats out & lift the carpet if there is nothing to see.

I would think either @Bodsy or @CDS are probably the most experienced with the window electrics. Or electrics under the floor channels in general.

Is it both sides?

Can you open the windows from the front of the car? Or is it just the back. If its all the time, then I think the wiring all goes via the front switch on the drivers side.

You haven't pressed the inhibit switch by chance.............

When they stop working, it is both windows that stop. front & rear switches. when they do work, its the same. all or nothin.
