I wonder if you've seen this?
Some new emergency closures have been put in place, including Chitterne 1 & 2

Yes, is a bit of a bugger, as they have closed a lot of the ones around the 'village'
Hopefully they will be back for next year.

As I see it, there are three that have the potential to impinge on any planned lane run:

a) Shrewton 13, which runs from SU 057-447 to SU 031-454,
b) Chitterne 1 (including the 'Mud Run'), from SU 007-460 to SU 021-434, and
c) Chitterne 2, from SU 000-453 to SU 015-456 (passing the North side of the 'German Village').

All these TROs expire on 30 Apr 2015.

Mick

Had a brief glance and I noticed it said the reason was public safety. Does that mean the military are highly active around there?

Possibly. However, all three of these lanes are badly rutted, so the Council may be doing something about them (maybe with the assistance of the Army). After all, I'm sure we're all perfectly aware of how the 'Chtterne Mud Run' is treated like a 'Pay & Play' site by some drivers ...

There's a lot closed in that area, inc Shrewton 8/Tilshead 12 :(
Basically no access anywhere near Copehill Down :( That's a lot of lanes to be closed in one area, not all in poor condition :?

Is it starting to look like a day of greenlaning is going to be a day of drinking coffee and eating hotdogs in the central woodland (if we can even get there)?

Nah, there's still plenty open :thumbright:
It's just they're my favourite lanes :(
But don't worry Dom, I'll ensure that your route gives you the option to loiter in a remote woodland ;)
