Got an idea for an event, want to see an event run that is currently run. Any discussions prior to an event being launched as an official event should go in here.

All sounds good to me. At the P&P, how about halting the open driving for an hour or two, and get the cars doing gymkhana type stuff in a specified area. Then the kids could do a supervised punch/treasure hunt.....
Happy to organise punch hunt, adult & kids :thumbright:

bbq and event gazebos for general loitering and chatting, pay and play is nice as you get to drive if you want but you also get to see other people, green lanes are great too but a bit more solitary..... as for food could we hire an event caterer I hear some are quite hot at it :shark:

Any event catering should be accompanied by the posh end of event toilets - the SOs and children won't be happy bunnies without clean draft free paper stocked toilets.

Anyone got any suggestions on venues? Oxford area seems to be reasonably central based on membership. Not sure what's around that area. The other option is Andover and Salisbury plain or Slindon and Hampshire Surrey lanes.

Oxfordshire is nice & central Stu. I know of a Camping & Caravan site in Witney which might be a good candidate. http://www.lincolnfarmpark.co.uk/

I use this place quite regularly for weekends away. Decent boozer 200 yards up the road. Warm, clean toilet blocks, private pool & sauna on site. Not sure where we could do a pay and play nearby though. I wonder if our GLASS rep might investigate the lanes around there??

Failing that, there are dozens of similar places in the Cotswolds.

I think requirements are going to be tricky

Need somewhere with:

Pay and play nearby
Good leaning nearby
Rally field for tents and caravans
Somewhere that can accept whatever entertainment we want / don't want.
B&B nearby or onsite for those not into the camping thing
Decent facilities

I'll take a look at the link - thanks Dom.
