Isle of Wight Off Road / Sites / Beaches Weekend

Post by Neild » Thu Apr 21, 2011 10:54 am

Following on from this thread viewtopic.php?f=29&t=2905&p=39121#p39121" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , DiscoLRX has agreed to help organsie a trip to the I.O.W. for some off road action plus beach time and site seeing.

Disco will be along soon and will lead the plans, please sign up if this event could be of interest :thumbright:

I've split the sign up for Day trip and weekend stay. Plenty of Hotels, B&B's, Caravan/Camping parks. Would be good if we all stayed at one place ala Swanage :thumbright:

Once we can get some interest, I will start making enquiries and sort out dates and things. Just as a random thought, we have the garlic festival weekend in august which is always fun, lots of entertainment for everyone plus garlic ice cream and garlic beer :thumbright:

Or there is plenty of things for everyone to do around summer time, we could do beach bbq's, few green lanes, couple of the attractions for the kids. Will speak to our friend about the off road site as well. :)

Hmmm not sure about the Garlic weekend though, sounds a bit smelly. Also we'd need to avoid IOW Festival

Isle of wight festival is the second weekend of June also another one to avoid is the bestival on the second weekend of September, as both are really busy for the ferries.

Dates to avoid

10-12th June as that's iow festival
8-11th September as that's the bestival

9th & 10th July weekend would be good as we are over in the I.O.W for that weekend and the following week. :thumbright:
