Disco3 TDV6 2009 Upper Tailgate

Post by Brian Byrne » Tue Apr 03, 2018 9:29 am

Good day
Upper tailgate not opening
Did strip and check - actuator 100%
Door switch also 100%
Hard reboot did not help
Holding lock and unlock did not help
Broken wire? How to trace?
Could anyone advise how I get to FET G170, which I see on the wiring diagram, but cannot locate
Any advice would be much appreciated

If that FET relates to a Field Effect Transistor (an electronic version of a relay with no moving parts for those who don't know) then it's almost certainly a part of the the CJB itself which is a bit of a nightmare to check over as it has a lot of plugs/cables feeding into it.

Just to start at the obvious, but you haven't mentioned checking the fuse; I assume you have done that?

Thanks for feedback
There is apparently no fuse for upper tailgate.
I'll start stripping out the junction box on passenger side
Landy work weekend it is
