No, still not mad - yet!

Good fix of the suspension :thumbright: ; that kind of common sense approach to what some people feel are scary warning lights will see you well on your travels 8-)

Rather than screaming the brake to death (it dies/melts a little more each scream) , pick up Bodsy's brake bible and learn how to carry out an EPB adjust yourself. This is something else you should be able to do in the field TBH, and again will serve you well. I'm down to 20 minutes a side now as I'm used to it, and it's an easy preventative maintenance each month.

By the way, I too got those lights on my car once, and it was actually the parking switch lever - there are two switches in there so the computer can check twice that you mean to engage it so a switch fault doesn't slam the emergency brakes on. If there's a concurrence error (switches disagree with each other) a fit is staged by the ECU and the lights come on.

Finally, there's a gent called 10forcash over on the other site - the man is a marvel and he'd give your car an excellent assessment of travel worthiness, I'd certainly recommend using his services to set your car as straight as it can be.

Hi,

Just to let you know. After all the help and positive response I have had from everyone, I am up for helping and promoting the Disco 3 Club in anyway.

I would be happy to discuss this with the clubs officials/sponsors if they care to contact me.

Best wishes and thanks again

Julian

Well done Julian fixed your 1st problem on the D3, as mentioned before fault code reader is essential for your trip and should have been part of your fault diagnosis and last part clearing the the stored faults from this episode not to interfere with the next diagnosis, hard reset would also help. So any plans to incluided a fault reader in the essential gear, I am sure Jason can spare time to give you basic training in using a faultmate :whistle:

Hi again,

I'm not sure if this is the best place to add this update, but amongst all the trip prep and planning, I've been looking at vehicle protection and security including car cams. Last week it was solar power.

I have posted my thoughts and experience on my Sports Trek blog so won't repeat here. see http://sportstrek.blogspot.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And now looking at what spares to carry.
(see viewtopic.php?f=72&t=5160&start=20" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

Happy days

Julian
