Might have a location to do it in Alton, I will ask. At least that is indoors and light with plenty of facilities

I've just spent a bit of time sorting my aux battery set up and wondered where the closest earth is to the Aux battery tray or could I fit a riv nut into the chassis in the engine bay and use that as an earth point. :popcorn:

There is, if you look under the brake pipes around the ABS unit ISTR, there should be some earth posts there, just undo the nut and earth it there.

Thee isn't one in the battery tray (at least, I don't remember there being one...). But there is one on the RHS as you look down from the batt tray (if that makes sense) underneath the pipes. But you have to put you hand down the side to get to it.
