Mine arrived today. With any luck and good weather, I shall fit it Saturday afternoon :thumbright:

No wonder mine has blocked - the fins are very close together and its very deep. :headbang: I think a regular clean is on the cards now though!

As this is now going to be next weeks job - hopefully after I pick up the TinTent, is three hours a good time to allow?

And are they any spares bits that are recommended to get before I start? I have a box of various SS nuts and bolts, but what about wheel arch clips etc?

AF - I did mine in ~3 hours with tea and pee breaks.

I didn't break any fixing clips - but me and the lad have had a fair bit of practice taking trim off and putting it back. I'd recommend getting a handful of the two part black push in fasteners and the two part yellow / white trim clips. They're only cheap and you'll be p :censored: d off not having a spare.

I found a few bolts well corroded - one snapped but an Eazi-out sorted it - so a couple of metric 6 wouldn't go amiss.

You'll need a bucket or hose clamp for the washer fluid.

Other than that it's just patience - at least one bolt will be a pig.

I've got some white clips - but the stealer had no black ones in stock.

So you can guess which ones will break!

I've not looked at the weather forecast yet - but I hope Saturday afternoon is dry :thumbright:

Mark, don't forget to charge your camera batteries; everyone loves a pictorial.

I know there's an aftermarket intercooler that can be raised up, and which I assume then has easier access for cleaning/removal.
Could the standard Landie part be similarly moved higher, or is it not efficient enough to be useful in a new higher location?

Now that is a damn good question :thumbright:

The Alisport intercooler is just a tad more expensive than the OEM...so if it is feasible to move it, that could be a good compromise.

Only a tad???

Thought the Allisport one was circa £500?
OEM, £80

Actually I think the Alisport "off-road" intercooler is closer to 800 quid
