Spotted Spooky

Post by Stu » Tue May 26, 2015 9:48 pm

Ok so it's not that unusual for me to spot Mick, we do live quite close to each other, however I don't normally spot him on the back of a big yellow taxi (or in this case a white taxi)

Hope all is ok Mick.

It looked a little deflated, so maybe a compressor?

Nah - compressor is fine. The issue is the lack of signal from the rear sensors, as well as a couple of valves not responding.

Wiring issue, methinks. Going to start hunting the breaks tomorrow ...

Mick

Oh dear, that sounds like fun. Still a man of you caliber will get it sorted.

Let me know if I can be of help, even if it's only to pick up some pets or something.

Check the wiring by the height sensors - there is a repair kit which allows you to splice in a new plug at the sensor end - about £25 from the dealers.

Well, after a bit of a struggle I managed to get rid of the lean, as well as the annoying 'Bongs' and warning lights. It turns out that one of the multi-plugs in the NSR wheelarch had lost it's locking tabs, so was not pushed fully home!! A couple of cable-ties later, and the suspension works.

There's still one minor snag; the front Cross-Link valve is not working. However, the cabling for this goes via the NSF wheelarch multi-plugs. A job for another day ...

Grrr - here we go again!

Image

Clearly not my week!

This time the engine cut out after losing power. Re=started initially then refused to play. Fault code P0088 present (Fuel system pressure too high). Hopefully it'll be a cheap fix ...

Not a clue yet - she's at the Stealers, awaiting the verdict (they were very busy yesterday).

Seeing as it's possibly a sensor problem on the fuel rail, I'm not going to touch it ...

Is it at Guy Salmon?

If so I hope you've got plenty of savings to hand!
