My front wipers seem to be struggling.
Any bets on motor vs linkage?
What are they like to get to?

If you take the scuttle panel off, you can see the linkage and motors from memory.

That only leaves one question ... what on earth is a scuttle panel?Bodsy wrote:If you take the scuttle panel off, you can see the linkage and motors from memory.

Lol, it’s the long black plastic panel that the wipers stick through.

Be careful with the scuttle panel - you need to get a tight seal on replacing it especially on the passenger side.
If you get a leak there it can run into the pollen filter intake and soak your carpets - with various consequences.....
I put a bead of boat window sealant on mine or you can make a deflector over the intake.

My guess would be the linkage. Had this happen on my Hyundai van, and apparently the bushings was made of aluminium which reacted to steel bolts going through them and expanded. Had it cleaned out and it worked again. Have not heard of that on the disco though...

They seem ok at the moment.
There was a fault that I cleared about wiper park position.
Tightening up and can’t get to park position or sensor fault forcing the wipers into limp mode??
