Where is the first aid kit?
This thread is to keep track of the clubs first aid kit. Also if you use any item from it please post here so that we can replenish it.

Re: Where is the first aid kit?
Yes, still in the boot of my car since Bala. I wonder if we should get another one to have further north? Maybe for Bodsy to look after. I'm also happy for the one I have to go to another member who is first aid trained and lives south. I actually carry the same first aid kit anyway, so at the moment I'm carrying two which is a little silly. I can easily pass it to Andy or Rich. I'm guessing both will have done first aid with their rescue backgrounds.

Re: Where is the first aid kit?
I would be keen to renew my first aid training, it's been a while and my certificate expired a while ago.
We could do a club day, I could set up a weekend day in the office and get somebody to come in. We then could get a certificated course for those of use who haven't got one anymore.

Re: Where is the first aid kit?
I was thinking about this the other day. I wondered if we could do a trade with Hampshire ambulance service. They give us first aid training and we give them pointers on using their D4's off road.
If we just want first aid training then I have a very good mate who can provide it. He's very down to earth and would also be able to give practical advice about first aid out in the wild. He's a lecturer at Sparsholt agricultural college. He can also give chain saw lessons so it's probably quite useful that he knows his first aid. I'm sure he'd do it for a small fee, or possibly just for a pub lunch!

Assume these lessons are free?

Re: Where is the first aid kit?
no point 'having lessons' for forst aid, if we're going to administer it on behalf of the club, it should be as part of a qualification FAAW, First Responder etc
Unlikely that anyone would sue us for teh limited first aid we would give, but worth bearing in mind.

Re: Where is the first aid kit?
I agree lessons should be as part of a qualification. My mate can provide first response training in a day.
