The club as a whole benefits from what the members put in really as opposed to what members can take out.
If Neil and I were in it for what we could get out, then we'd probably be at least 2k better off.
I quite agree with this statement, however everyone gets something out of a club, be it days out, memeber benefits etc and the more you put in the more you tend to get out.

As I have said elsewhere, there are plenty of places further North which would be good for days out, and I am more than willing to be a go between or to source land owners permissions to have a day out in Scotland. A few ideas would be link up with SLROC on driving days (where anyone can go without being an SLROC member), there is a pay and play site at Drumclog which is very good and can be hired out and then there is Forrest Estate (Galloway Forrest) which is a great day out, we were there a few weeks back and did a 25 mile loop on forrest roads, there are gentle and adventurous routes and loads of wee play areas at the side, this needs land owner permission but several clubs go there already for events.

Oh and by the way I am now a paid member, and happy to help out with things further North. :thumbright:
