Overlanding Kit List
Hi Guys. We are doing our Third Overland trip in August. It will be the first time in the Discovery. What would your spare part list consist of for the trip?
We are doing the Pyrenees.
Also suggestions on little things that have made your trips better in the past and things that didn't.
We took a Folding BBQ on the last few trips. Great bit of kit. It was made by Outwell. Sure it was about £20 from the Camping and Caravan show. The Hannibal boxes and the 3 box bag works a treat. A
Bought new camping cutlery a few years ago. Waste of money. Full size eating tools is the way to go.

for the Pyrenees...? Nothing special...
If you run a search in the events section you will find a very, very long list of things we took last year (and will take again this year... ). All we needed was one spare tyre....

Events was the only place I didn't look in for the answers! Thanks.

Re: Overlanding Kit List
I have in my spares box
2 hub sensors
1 rear pad sensor wire
1 front pad sensor wire
2 Relays
Box fuses
Intercooler top hose
That's it. It's not something I intentionally built up, but after a trip on Salisbury plain I had a hub sensor fail, I lost speedo, rev counter and mileage counter. Associated with the sensor I had to drive on bump stops. Hence why I got replacements aboard.
As mentioned, an extra spare tyre n wheel if you doing an excursion plus a decent bottle jack and wheel breaker bar.

Phone number of the local land rover garage and a phrase book as they don't speak good English.

Re: Overlanding Kit List
Deanos kit list is immense massively impressive but expensive……. If money is no object then get what he has got. It would also depend if I was the only D3 or if there was a few of us….

Re: Overlanding Kit List
Franks kit list also fits nicely into two wolf boxes. Very comprehensive. Most of it can e built up overtime. The compressor is the most expensive bit, the rest is straight forward really.
We'll hopefully be borrowing it again for pyrenees 2012

Re: Overlanding Kit List
I think I am the only D3. I will double check. We are going with Atlas Overland.
The last two trips were done in my L200 so spare parts were not a problem as i knew what was likely to be the problem. Just need some pointers on the D3. And maybe which sensors and relays etc.. Are these a fix that can be done in the field?
Thanks
